I’m Stefanie. I’m a Mama just like you living in beautiful Nevada. I love all things outdoors, traveling, photography, cooking, and spending time with my family I am driven by passion and my future, but above all, I am driven to be the best Mom I can be and to share my journey with other Moms just like me! Being a Mom is what I truly feel like I was born to be and helping other Moms makes me bust at the seams with excitement. Unfortunately, just as I am driven by my passions and my future, I am also bound by my fears.
Emily was born at the beginning of the 2018 and boy were there a lot of ups and downs. I’m an adventurer by nature, but this is a completely different adventure than what I’m used to. Needless to say, it has been the wildest, most wonderful ride of my life. I became pregnant with Emily after having a miscarriage and I was scared throughout my entire pregnancy that it would happen for a second time. My miscarriage damaged a piece of me and frankly, I never wanted to go through that again.
While I was pregnant with Emily I became overly cautious about everything. I was aware of everything I ate, all of the chemicals in all of the products I used, you name it I thought obsessively about it. I lived with the fear of the unknown and I tried to prevent everything in and out of my control. It was then I realized how truly afraid I was that I didn’t know what to do and what not to do. I didn’t have the guidance I desired and unfortunately, babies don’t come with manuals. After going through this past year being a new Mom I decided that I wanted to be a part of a force greater than myself and share my knowledge from one Mama to another. I don’t want other Moms to feel lost and helpless like I did. Instead, I want to encourage and empower them that they are in fact doing the right thing.
In addition to my experiences as a Mom, I also have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, a master’s degree in Medicine as a Physician Assistant, have done and will continue to do research on holistic/alternative/preventative medicine and have been mentored by Moms who’ve come before me. And of course, I’ve mentored several new Mama’s who went from overwhelm, self-doubt and exhaustion to calm, self-assured and refreshed!
You deserve to have a wonderful experience as a new Mom! You receive limited support from your OB and Pediatrician. There will be times you don’t feel comfortable asking for advice from friends or family because maybe they’ll judge you or maybe their information is outdated or their ideas of raising a child are different than yours and their advice is one-sided.
I am here to guide and support you all the way through your first year as a Mama, no judgments…no biases.
